God Will Never Change

Malachi 1:11
"For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts."

Throughout the Bible we see the many changes that took place with the Israelites, God's people. The book of Malachi was written to the Jews who returned to Jerusalem after seventy years of captivity. When they returned to Jerusalem, it was not as they had left it. Both the temple and the wall around Jerusalem had been rebuilt. This was a great time of victory for the Israelites. Yet, they fell into sin once again.

We too are living in a day of much prosperity and change. The world in which we live is changing at a rapid rate with much focus on ourself and not others, our Social world changes almost daily, what was acceptable yesterday and unacceptable today. We have become an electronic society and many social media which controls people. We seem to change so fast it is hard to follow the changes. What was once right is now called wrong. Good is called evil and evil is called good.

The wonderful thing about our God is He never changes.

Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever”

Micah 5:2 “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”

How can someone have an abundant Christian life in these changing times? We can stay strong in our faith in this changing society by;

1. Attaching our lives to the one who never changes!

Our God does not change!
Hebrews 1:12 “And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.”

He is a Spirit and He is ever present.

Ecosystems change, weather patterns change, economics change, People change, friends Change, jobs change, our bodies change, our moods change, life changes constantly but Our God Never changes!

Psalm 102:26-27 “They shall perish, but thou shalt endure:
yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.”

Romans 1:25 is speaking of mankind when it says, "Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator."

Some men have changed the truth of God, but God has not changed-God will never change!

In our ever-changing society it may be difficult to find something that will never change. Let me give you a quick list of what my God is,
He is....
All powerful
Holy
Righteous
Ever present
All hearing
Invincible
Faithful
Gentle
Merciful
Love
Compassionate
All seeing
Understanding
Pure
Kind
Immortal
Just
Truth
Loyal
Perfect
Long suffering
Slow to anger
Never changing

That is what he is; not what he does. By His very existence are these attributes of who he is!

So what can we do?

We can stay strong in our faith in this changing society by;

2. Leaning upon God and His Word,

We know we have a solid, unchanging foundation. John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

Verse 14: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

Even when trials arise in our lives, we can turn to God and find help. 1 John 1:1 “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;”

We can stay strong in our faith in this changing society by;

3. Spending Time in Prayer (you talking to Him)

Jeremiah 33:3 "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

Are you going through a changing time in your life? Do you feel as if things are continually changing without your control? No matter what goes on in the world or what circumstances may change, God will not change. Look to Him for He is our ever-present help in time of need.

Also, are you connected to God and His Word today? We can only make it through unstable times in our lives if we are grounded in Him. Take time to ground yourself in Him, for He will never change!

Don't have a Bus Ministry, Please Start One
Written by; Eva Marco, Wife, Mother, Missionary and Bus Kid.

My name is Eva Marco; I am married to Evangelist, Dr. Douglas Marco.  I would like to encourage you on behalf of the children in your area, if you don’t have a bus ministry, please start one.   If your not working on one, please start.  If you do have a bus ministry do not take any child for granted.  You never know what they can do for God in the future.

As I have traveled across the country, I have been in many churches.  I have heard hundreds of testimonies of people that were saved out of a life of drugs, alcohol and such.  You have heard testimonies like those.  My husband has a great testimony of what God did in his life.  For a long time I wished I could say how much my life changed and how different I am from what I used to be.  Then one day it dawned on my peanut brain.  What are you thinking?  No! God did not save me out of a life of sin.  He did something even greater.  God saved me from a life of sin thanks to the bus ministry. (Read More)

Faith or Foolishness?

Written by Missionary Douglas Marco, Jr.  Missionary to the City of Talisay on the Island of Negros in the Philippines

“Click, click, click…” from the old wooden roller coaster was the most frightening thing I had ever heard one summer day in 1996. There is no more exciting day to an adolescent than a day at an amusement park. For me on that day, there wasn’t much amusement. I had dodged all of attempts of my sisters to get me on a roller coaster; although my winning streak was about to come to an abrupt end. “Come on son, you’re getting on this one”, was the last thing I heard before my heart dropped into my goodwill sneakers...
